A Little Publicity : Hopefully, no one said "sucks." I expect most of you said, or thought, "car." If so, you were about 80% right. Most station wagons were cars, but they were also trucks. During the 1930s, '40s, and for the early part of the '50s, aftermarket body companies-most notably Hercules-Campbell-built wooden station wagon bodies to mount on both light and medium duty truck chassis.

Super Rare 65 Impala SS! Triple Black 396/375 HP Car! AC PS PB LOADED! $7800

EXTREMELY RARE! 1965 Triple Black Super Sport Impala! Rare Dual AM/FM Radio! Correct 396/375 HP Big Block! Loaded with power steering, AC, and power brakes! Even the low retail on this car is 20k+! This Impala has been owned by the same owner since 1975. Unfortunately it was moved to the field in which you see it in located below and has sat there for the past two years. It does need work but it is 100% complete and extremely solid. If you ever wanted a 65, this would be the one you would own. Body: The body on this Impala as you will see does need some work. The drivers side fender is in need of some work as do the quarters. The floors need replaced. Surprisingly the trunk is actually very solid. It is however beginning to separate from the wheel wells but could easily be repaired. The roof is also in good shape as are the pillars. You will notice in the photos on the drivers side that there is still some of the vinyl top still in place, it is not rust and it is solid underneath the deteriorating vinyl As you will see, the Impala does retain all of its original glass which is in excellent shape (with the exception of the windshield which will need replaced). All of the trim is also still in tact and in fair shape. The only piece that is missing is on the drivers side quarter right below the rear tail light. The bumpers are also still on the car and in fair condition. They could easily be rechromed. Engine & Mechanical: The motor within this Impala is not the numbers matching motor but it is a correct 396/375 motor which was bought out of Detroit some years ago. It has only four thousand miles on it and is seized up so it will need gone through. The 400 automatic transmission was gone through at the time the motor was put in the car and was still in good working order before the motor stopped working. All of the AC components are still in tact on the car is the power brake and power steering setup. All of which were in good working order prior to the car being disabled. This Impala came from the factory with a very rare radio setup. Located below you will find photos of it. Interior: The interior is 100% complete and factory original. As you will see, the buckets and back seat are still in good shape and could more then likely be salvaged by just giving them a good cleaning. The center console is also still in tact. The door panels as you will see both in the front and back will need to be replaced. The headliner will also need replaced. This is in fact a very restorable and extremely rare Impala. It would definitely make one rare piece once completed. Please feel free to call me at 816.308.0351 or shoot me an email through Craigslist.
